DAY 11 – MAKE SEEDED PAPER
For Christmas cards and gift tags, make seeded paper – Do this instead of tossing shredded paper in the bin.
Tear recyclable paper into small pieces and put into a blender until it is half full. Add warm water, about half that of paper. Blend for 30 seconds to a pulp. Sprinkle in a teaspoon of seeds and stir (do not blend).
DAY 12 – GO ON A RECYCLING SCAVENGER HUNT.
Head out to a local park and see how much you can collect from the environment that can be recycled! Got competitive kids? Make it a race
DAY 13 – CREATE A COMPOST HEAP
If you have space, make your own composting heap at home and teach kids to use it for items that rot.
DAY 14 – CREATE A VEGGIE PATCH
Get kids get involved with their own vegetable patch or box. These can easily be made out of old crates and let them care for their own patch.
DAY 15 – REPRUPOSE YOUR JARS
Repurpose old coffee or empty jars into cute christmas gifts with homemade items.
